![]() Pehaps this has changed from an older version of LimeWire, but I thought that when a download used to say, "Awaiting Sources" that I could right-click it and choose "Find more sources". How do I get a download to find more sources when it's not going at all? |
| ||||
![]() If it says "Need More Sources" then you can right click on the file tell it to find more sources. If it says "Awaiting Sources" you either keep waiting or try searching again. You can find alot of info in the LW F.A.Q.http://www.limewire.org/wiki/index.p...sked_Questions

![]() The FAQ said, 'Q: What's the difference between "Need More Sources" and "Awaiting Sources"? A: They are identical except that you must wait a short period before finding more sources if "Awaiting Sources" is the status of a download.' How long is this "short period"? I've had one download stuck on "Awaiting Sources" for hours at a time, yet I can't find any way to get it to go look for more sources. I'll click "Resume" and it will say "Connecting" then snap back to "Awaiting Sources". |

![]() I don't wait very long. You can right click the file and go to search and have it search for the exact file name. Sometimes it will pick up some sources that way. If the file hasn't started to download just cancel it and try a fresh search. Vary your searches a little, search for the title, then search for the artist, or the name of the albumn, ect. The same principal applies to videos. Another thing to try is to disconnect limewire from the network. In LW go to File>Disconnect, then have it reconnect. It will connect to different Ultrapeers and Leaves which may improve you chances of finding a good file. Learn to use Bitzi Web Lookup. It will help you sort out good files. And another thread to see is: Skills to continue downlds, Downld speeds, Searching, optimal performance. Hope this helps ![]()
