 Helllppp: Limewire worked fine for a year. All of a sudden, the program wont load! My limewire has worked fine for like a year. All of a sudden, I click the .exe file and the program wont load. I have tried re-d/lin java and limewire, but it still wont work... Any help???  |

| Did you use the offline installers for both Java (JRE) & LW? Remove your current Java & try again with the offline installer http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml Try deleting the preferences folder (points 2 & 3 below) Fixes for LimeWire Have you installed or updated any antispyware that could be stopping LW from opening? If this is the case, make sure that LW's on the list of exceptions/allowed apps  |

OS(Win XP etc) LW & Java version (help > about LW & you'll see) Firewall you're using Any other security you're using (antispyware, worm protection etc etc) Modem/router brand & model ISP Connection type (DSL etc) Where you connect from (home, school etc) Are you sharing a connection with other computers Is this your first try with LW What happened before LW stopped working? Any changes to hardware, software, ISP etc. |
