For the last few weeks I've been having difficulties with pretty much every p2p software that I've been able to obtain; I've downloaded numerous gnutella clients and they either don't run at all, or refuse to connect when they do run. I had an older version of LW that just stopped working after a while, so I've been trying to find something else, but I'm not having any luck.

I just installed LW 4.12.4, hoping that it would work, but no dice. I get the loading graphic, but once it supposedly loads, LW doesn't load. No window, no taskbar icon, nothing. I've reinstalled after deleting the whole LW directory, disabled my firewalls, run anti-virus/spyware software, and I still can't get it working.

I didn't use to have this problem, and I haven't changed anything on my computer from when I was able to successfully use LW last, so what's the deal?

I've searched the forums for a while and I can't find much that helps...any advice?
