is it wise for me to download limewire once more?

I have downloaded limewire once and i caught a worm (honestly i was downloading something i shouldn't have and i have learned my lesson) that made my limewire start up even after closing it. Since then i went to best buy and they fixed it and the whole computer was working very good. Now i'm thinking of getting limewire again because to be honest buying music is expensive and money is kind of tight this summer so what would everyone here reccommend for me to do? Thanks in advance

i have spysweeper and norton antivirus and i dont want to have two antivirus programs or two spyware programs cause i've read on other forums that they dont mix well. But i am ready to try limewire and the only thing i'll download are mp3 files... are those safe enough?

Fairly safe. Just stay away from files with up to or more than hundred of hosts. They are most likely faked files. Choose from files with some 10-20 hosts and then scann every files you've downloaded from the network.
Some of the links I've included in my post above explain how to act to be as save as possible.
