When will I ever stop deleting music files

I downloaded a ton of tunes to limewire, dragged them over to itunes and transferred them over to my ipod. Then I deleted all of the tunes from limewire thinking I would still have the music on itunes. WRONG
All of the music is gone
What now??
Any suggestions
Thanks

Hmm didn't you say that you copied it to your iPod

I have neither iTunes or an iPod but wouldn't you be able to just copy them back ?

BTW some reading on deleting files from Limewire and (maybe) getting them back

To the best of my knowledge, you can not copy music files back to itunes or limewire from an ipod.
I have previously read a thread about recovering deleted files with software and in fact did downlaoad a free copy which found most of my deleted files. The problem was that the free software will not allow you to recover files over a certain size. They want you to buy the better version.
I was just hoping that someone might know where these deleted files were stored on the C drive and how to restore them.

You can't make copies from an iPod to put back over to iTunes or LimeWire? How odd. I thought it was possible to make copies of music files from any mp3 player and put them over onto the harddrive. I know my mp3 player can do it.

If the songs are still on your iPod you can retrieve them

If you still have the songs on your iPod it is, according to apple, impossible to get them back off. They are not the same as other mp3 players in this respect. A clever ploy by Apple to stop music being shared.

HOWEVER there are a number of programmes available to do this, and if you google iPod retrieval you will find them.

I hope this helps

You have found exactly how the file retieval programmes work. Afaik you need to pay for the better version to retrieve the files. I'm not a Computer geek so can't say exactly where they might be, but I'm guessing you must have the programme to locate them :)
