hi - can anyone tell me just how risky (in a getting caught and fined sense)downloading music from limewire is?

how could i get found out? are there any steps i can take to minimise the risk?

Try searching the forums for legal, legality, riaa, or similar words.

Some say to keep your shared below 1000 files. I don't know. There are many people using p2p programs and i think the chances of the riaa oe mpaa going after the average user is very slim. I personally don't worry about it, but you take your chances.

If they come knocking at your door, anything thing i say here won't mean squat;).

thanks 6 pac - as you say, you take your chances.. but i still wonder exactly how someone can find out whats on your machine
