Default 2 easy questions for you smart folks

1) What is the opinion of LimeWire Ultra Accelerator 4.1.3?

2) Is there a website that has quicklinks to Limewire movies, audio, and documents? Can't find and there were SO MANY for my previous system, K-Lite.

No specific opinion about this one, but a general one. Most Gnutella clients try to perform at their best for the benefit of the whole network if configured properly. The download speed depends on many factors which can only be influenced by yourself to a limited extend by opening more half-open connections or some MS third party patches. If everyone tried to use some perfomance enhancment patches like that one to increase their download speed, the network as a whole would slow down to a craw. For the whole network such patches are rather contra-productive IMO.

2)
Not that I know of......

I would just like to add to FOTH's reply:

1) Most accelerators or speed-up programmes are cons, I asked this same question a couple of years ago when I first got LW Pro. I was told, in no uncertain terms, by forum members that LW cannot be speeded up any more and that those advertising that it can just want your money, just like scam sites want your money and payments details (if you are gullible enough to give it to them).

2) Limewire does not have any servers containing music, films, games or anything else, nor does LW pretend to have such things. You see, this is a common newbie/novice misconception that there are organisations on the internet, other than recognised official sites, that have films and music ready to download to you for a one off fee.

LW Basic and LW Pro are P2P applications that connects your computer to other P2P users and allow you to share their files, and that is all it does. Now, if P2P users are willing to share films, music and so on then that is down to them and their conscience.

As for those sites that say they have films, music and games, well they are scam sites and all they want is your money and payment details.

You should read these:

(aka Known Scam Sites)

There are also numerous postings littered throughout the forum of newbies/novices being conned out of there money because they believed, like you do, that could get films and music for a one of fee from scam sites claiming to have everything but in reality had nothing.

Thanks for trying to help folks.

ukbobboy01, I should mention that in both of your answers you mention a "fee". Neither of these involve the exchange of money. The Accelorator is a free download, and I was referring to sites such as www.sharethefiles.com which gives links to eD2K and bittorrent movies.

The only accelerator that has ever worked is one that researched downloads that needed sources at given intervals. Can't remember what it was called and it's not needed anymore as it has become more efficient to just press find more sources or resume until the download says either "Awaiting Sources" or "Waiting on busy hosts". Limewire will then periodically try to find sources
