Question Avg

Hi, whenever I open Limewire a message comes up saying a firewall is blocking Limewire. I'm using AVG and have windows 98 SE, does anyone know how to unblock limewire?

Thanks.

OK, USB modems, as far as I know, do not have built in firewalls. However, I may be wrong, i.e. recent developments, so you might want to check your modem's specifications on the manufacturers web site.

Have you added any new apps to your PC after installing LW?

While you are checking your modem's specs, did you download LW and Java using the online or off-line installers.

I get the feeling that your LW may be corrupt.

OK try this,

1) Delete your current LW.

2) Download the offline version of LW to your HD but to a newly created empty folder/directory.

3) Reinstall from your new directory, LW will install itself into your Program folder and should find your installation of Java.

Reboot

Then run LW from the new icon on your desktop.
