Hello people, I just discovered this software. I was wondering if I was to get LimeWire PRO which I am thinking about, will my Downloading rate be improved. For example, lets say a file is 175.3 MB large, How long will it take to download such a file?

Depends a lot on your connection & how fast that is! Also how many hosts you're downloading from & their connection speed. Pro will let you download from a couple more hosts than basic ( normally 10 hosts but 14 if you have a T3 connection). So, if you're downloading from the maximum number of hosts, your downloads could be faster.

If you use the forum search, you'll find lots of threads discussing the pros & cons of Pro;) Lots of people see buying Pro more as a donation towards the future development of LW:)

Limewire Pro installation and email problems
 

I bought LW Pro this afternoon and it didn't speed up my downloads at all, but it was just as the USA came online (I'm in the UK) and my cable connection does seem to get slower then. I was getting download speeds of 1-4 kb/s which is REALLY slow.

Then LW shut itself down so I uninstalled it - but can't find the file to reinstall it. I tried to go to the support function which asked me for my email address which I was supposed to have entered when I bought Pro - however before it asked me for an email address I was re-directed to paypal so I never got the chance - and it won't recognise either of my email addresses.

I definitely bought it, it definitely went through on paypal - I can't find the Pro installation file, only the basic one. I don't mind paying for it - I know that a lot of people have put lots of time into this but I need a way of a)finding the darned file again (I've done all the searches) and b)finding out which supposed email address it's storing! Can anyone help?

First of all, did you buy Pro for $18.88 from www.limewire.com?
If you bought Pro from the official site, you should've recieved an email with a link to your personal download page... did you ever enter any email address at any stage of the purchase?
Are you sure that you saved the installer?
