I downloaded and PAID for Pro, both my hard disks corrupted taking out everything including my backups. I have tried to re-download, it says my email address is not valid.

What do I do now? (apart from tell my CC company to get the payment back)

I paid about $19. Paid about 6 months ago.

forget about contacting your CC...by the terms of service you are offered free update downloads for 6 months...which by the message you post originally appears to have passed, and it jives with your memory about how long ago your 'purchase' of LW was...

its just plain bad luck that your drives got corrupted...live and learn...one should always back up important files to a CD/DVD regularly if they are that important to you as computers can be wacked in to many different ways to depend upon data being there the next day

Thanks. I have checked, it is less than 6 months. On principal, now I have requested repayment from my CC company. I am also contacting Trading Standards. For your information, my data was backed up to a second drive, ufortunately, this went dwn at the same time. My live and learn is to tell every person I know (and some I dont) how Limewire treats customers.
