I am pretty sure that you would not need to copy the files to CD to get them to be audio files. It's much more likely that you have associated some mediaplayer that uses some kind of video icon with mp3 files.

If you are using a PC then go to your library in Limewire and highlight a song, then press Explore and a new folder opens up. Right-click on one of the files that you thought were video and choose open with and then all programs or program (depending on language). Choose iTunes and check the box that says "Always use....." then press OK.

The next time that you start your PC you should have an iTunes icon on all mp3 files in Limewire

m4a format is also known by other extensions depending on the player you use. eg: Winamp uses mp4. The problem with that is such an extension can also be mpeg 4 video. iTunes Music Store use m4p (p=protected.) m4a = mpeg 4 audio. mp4 audio & m4a extensions are interchangeable. Nero even confuses it more because of Nero's use of mp4 as DVD subtitles (Vobsub). Nicely explained here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M4a

Nero is a burning program for CDs and DVDs(probably the most popular one for windows)

m4a is an extension. So is mp3, wma, avi, bin, cue, etc. It's the format of the file

And yes it's OK to use m4a in iTunes
