Ok so I downloaded a video clip and when I play it it goes to windows media player, and then whilke loading it says error with codex and all you can get is the sound no picture? why is that? and also please tell me if i posted in the wrong place!!!!!

This thread will supply you with the links you need to get the codecs....
Also the VLC player is highly recommended as it plays all files as the codecs are already installed (the link is also in the thread).....

what do i do with the codec packs or with the player thingy?

Once their downloaded Save them and then Run them...The WMP codecs will do their job automatically once you have done this...

Do the same for the VLC player, but select open with VLC when right clicking on your file in your shared folder (outside of Limewire), it will then open the VLC player and play the file with that...
