firewall issue

hi i can not finsih installing limewire due to a firewall. i have window xp but with sp1. i use to have aol and its security system activated but i removed in an attempt to activate limewire. i have checked the firewall settings in the internet section but its still says there is a firewall.
so can someone help me
i have also tried installing both version of limewire several times. removing it and uninstalling it
