Problems with basic Limewire setup
 

Hi, all,

I'm a limewire newbie and I got problems getting the basic limewire to work. I downloaded first the offline recommended Java software, then the offline recommended Windows Basic Limewire software, I started running limewire and get so far as to Limewire Setup. Then, the Firewall Setup dialog box popped up but without any option to Next or Cancel and the Limewire "loading HTML engine" in the background loading for ages without ever initializing the program. I've got no firewall whatsoever installed anyway. Can somebody pls tell me what to do next to move on with the setup? Thank you very much in advance.

Maybe you neee to run the installer exe in a different compatibility mode. Rightclick the LW installer icon and choose Properties>Compatibility. Change the mode to Windows NT (or Windows 2000). That might help...
