Silky Johnston is flying high
Default Ok, I've researched and still can't find the answer.

So here goes. I have a Creative Zen Nano 1gb mp3 player that I use for working out. When I first started out, I could go to LW find a song, download it then drag it to my MP3 player. Easy, right? However, now when I try and do the exact same thing, I get: "The directory or file cannot be created" message. I'm pretty certain I am doing nothing different than before but....Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

go directly to your downloads folder and do the dragging and dropping from there

Yeah, I looked to see if that might have been the problem and it shows it is not full but still has plenty of space left...Funny thing is, this morning I was able to get 2 songs to transfer to my player but none after that..very bizarre..

hmmm....well the only time I have seen that error message is when my player is full, and I have the same exact player...

the fact you got 2 songs to transfer is not really odd per se, as those might have been the 2 needed to fill it up....try deleting a few songs again, and then emptying the trash can in windows and see what happens

Well, i'll be d@mned. I erased 1 song and tried it and it did download. hmmm...It still says I have alot of space left?? How many songs are you able to get on yours? It shows I still have 471.3mb space left. 998mb total. Does this sound right to you??? I mean I should be able to get a few hundred more songs on there shouldn't I?

it all depends upon the size of the mp3s...the device as far as I know is only limited by its total storage space....

I'll need to look into this closer and see if I can save space some how by downloading in a different format. I really appreciate your help as I was racking my brains trying to figure out what happend.

Many mp3 players can only fit so much on the root directory

Erase a few songs then make a folder or two and put the songs in there. This is not a guess. You were just unlucky to not find the right threads here

And BTW I think it's incredible that the makers don't include this in the manual on the first page
