Save my searches?

Greetings.

I am testing out the free version, and so far I like what I see. I have a couple of questions, however...

There are about 20 artists I am searching for (hard-to-find jazz). Whenever I close Limewire, and then re-launch it, my search fields have disappeared, and I have to search for these artists all over again. Is there a way to keep them there? Is this beacuase I do not have the Pro version? (by the way, I did do a forum search for this problem using various keywords, but found no joy. I do not mean to offend any "did you search the forums!!!?" loonies. If I used the wrong keywords, I'm sorry).

Also, If I want to upgrade to Pro, is there a number I can call? All of the "scam" messages on this forum, and phishing sites associated with Limewire have me very leary of releasing valuable information (i.e. my hard-earned income) to unknown tweakers over the web. I would gladly pay a long distance call to speak with someone reputable.

Thanks in advance

The official site is http://www.limewire.com/english/content/home.shtml
And no they don't have an accesible telephone number. They don't have sufficient numbers of staff to be manning a telephone 24 hours a day for either sales or support. If you have a legitimate question, you can ask limenathan (click on link)

As far as searches go, LW has never had the ability to save them in between sessions. I'm not sure the beta can either.

However, you can try to browse people with the same or similar files. If they have more, then make a note of their ip & try to direct connect to them next time. Else, search for files you know they have.

Thanks for the heads up...

One other question. When I browse by host, is there a way to search by keyword?

No. When you browse a particular user, you will see all their shared files or as many as the browse search can find at the time. In that case, arrange the browse results as you please. eg: click on the Name column bar so it arranges the files alphabetically, or double-click the size column so it shows largest at the top. Or use the filters at the side such as Audio so it only shows audio files. Or combine them (audio & alphabetically), Etc. ;)

For audio, you will see them in the lower filter windows shown by artist & below that by album. So click on particular artist & it will show only songs by that artist. That is of course if they have been properly id3 tagged. Otherwise they will only show in the main "all" artists group.
