Maribs is flying high
Red face Hello, I'm new and need help

I am new to Limewire and downloading for that matter.
I have installed Limewire; I have disabled my firewall; and still cannot get any search results.
I've read all the instructions several times and went thru these posts to see if I could figure it out.
I am still not getting any results. i am hoping I have overlooked something simple and obvious.
Please help.

Thanks

1. How many green v's red bars do you see at the bottom left corner of LW: Hello, I'm new and need help-quality-connection.gif

2. Some info will be helpful: System details - help us to help you (click on link)

Westell always work best port forwarded. Find your model here & follow the instructions carefully http://portforward.com/routers.htm Remember to save settings (some modems you need to reboot after doing such) & restart LW after all of this. Perhaps even reboot computer. Most high speed routers/modems have internal NAT firewalls.

Again, THANK YOU LOTR...
I have got it working. I am happily downloading music.
I feel really stupid cuz I'm stuck again.

I wanted to try downloading one song to my MP3 player from Limewire.
If I understand the instructions correctly, I need to transfer the file from LW to My Shared Documents. It didnt work. I changed the .m3u to mp3 as it said as well...I get error PX.dll not found. Any ideas?

Find the file in the Limewire Library, click explore. That will take you to the file its self. That will be an mp3. (Copy or move it to your shared documents if neccessary) m3u is just a playlist refference and cannot be changed into an mp3.

I hope this helps
