Help!!!!
 

I paid to download Limewire, and now the version I have downloaded won't work!!!! When I click on the limewire emblem on my desktop a box pops up that says "NSIS Error." It says the installer I am trying to use is corrupted or incomplete. If anyone knows how to fix this please help!! I don't want to pay for something I can't use, and I'm afraid I will be charged again if I try to re-install. :confused: :confused: :confused: I would appreciate any assistance anyone could give me!!!!!

Who did you pay for LW? Basic is free & Pro costs $18.88 USD for 6 months of updates & email support. When you buy Pro, you recieve a link to your personal download page...you can use that to download as many installers as you want;) Likewise, you can download the free basic version again & again!
The only official site for downloading either version is www.limewire.com

Try redownloading the installer using a different browser. Also, are you using any antispyware programs? If so, disable them while you download the installer (some antispyware wrongly picks LW as a threat & can stop it working properly).

they have my credit card info.....what can I do?

Call your credit card company. Tell them what's happened & ask them to cancel the transaction. Most cards will have a department that deals with scams/fraud. They'll advise you about whether you should cancel the card.

Have a read of the 2 threads below. The first has basic info about being scammed (it's very long, just read as much as you can take!!). The second has info about how some people have been able to get a refund from scammers. If your CC company can cancel the transaction & deal with things, you won't need to tackle it yourself...but just in case:)
