please, im technologically challenged
 

my limewire does not download anything. and i tried to add limewire as exception to my mcafee so that limewire could get through to my computer. but i didnt even see where i could add exceptions. im using windows xp.

i checked faq through limewire website, it didnt seem to have an answer to my question. im simply not skilled with computers...if anyone could help me solve with this problem, i'd appriciate it alot. and please let me know if you need to know more about my computer or internet provider information.

Why not 1st disable McAffee to see if you can connect. You'll need to configure XP's firewall however. So Firewall configuration instructions (click on link).

If you can connect, then disable XP's firewall & turn McAffee back on. You shouldn't run 2 firewalls at same time.
