I'm new with LW and I'm from Croatia so excuse me for any grammar mistakes. Anyway, there's a little circle in LW and it's red. I was told it has to be green so I could download music. But somehow it never seems to be green, which is simply driving me crazy. I would like to know what do I have to do to make it green.

Is the circle in the bottom left?

You may have firewall problems if there is a globe (circle) with a red brick wall over it.

If you have two firewalls (one in Windows and one in antivirus software, etc.), you should disable one (Windows if possible).

Set your firewall (only one should be active!) to allow Limewire access to the internet.

But there isn't a brick wall over the circle. And how do I set firewall to allow LW access to the Internet ?

3. Connection bars which should be green. How many green, red or blue bars do you see?

I can't disable any of two firewalls. And I can't get to the connection bar.

The connection bar doesn't show? You can choose to show it under LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Status Bar & you'll see the options.

I went to Tools>Options but where is the Status Bar ?!

I guess it depends which version you have. You didn't answer the questions asked above so I can't help any further until then.

I didn't allow firewall so it allows LW full access because the link won't open. What else can I do ? What did you do or were you able to connect from the start ?
