Where did you get your "Pro" version from?

I would advise you to answer this question as fully as possible because vague short answers (or worse still, vague questions) does not help the volunteers of this forum in trying to find a solution for your problem.

Nash

Although you started off with the right URL it is obvious that you got yourself (well, your browser actually) "jacked" to a scam site.

Let me explain, the LW org. only offers LW Basic (for free) and LW Pro for $18.88 (US Dollars), which work out at something less than £14.00 (UK Pounds), and for that you get for that is 6 months worth of free updates/upgrades and 6 months technical support. The LW Org. does not sell the following crap you got, i.e.

Unfortunately, you are not the first (nor will you be the last) victim to get hi-jacked away from a legitamate site and transported to a scam site that does nothing but rip you off.

So, what do you do now?

1) Contact your credit card company and explain that you are the victim of a fraud, your browser was hi-jacked away from a legitamate site and dumped into to a site, without you knowing, which has been specifically designed to extract money from internet novices.

As most CC cards have an anti-fraud policy then you should be able to get your money back.

2) Your browser has been compromised, meaning that there some miscreant site has planted a re-direct into your browser and the only way to get it out is to run some anti-spyware apps, like the following:

Ad-ware SE - Well respected free ad and spyware remover.

Spybot - Another well respected free ad and spyware remover and most people, including myself, recommend that you download both apps and use them one after the other.

AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 - Protects your PC from and removes anti-spyware and anti-malware, good product and has a free trial period but ultimately is not free.

Good luck

UK Bob
