We'll need some more information What are you trying to burn? A movie? A game or program? If you downloaded a movie using Limewire, what format is the movie (avi, mpeg, etc.)? If you want to play these types of movie files on your DVD player, you have to convert them to DVD format (unless your DVD player supports these file types). |

You could give dvdsanta a try it converts and burns in 2 easy steps... The Demo has no time limits and it is fully functional, it just has a small message across the top of the screen and you can overcome that by zooming in a frame or two using your dvd players remote control... http://www.dvdsanta.com Or you can try Nero that is also a good convertor and burner, it has a trial period of 30 days and then you have the option to buy.... Sleepless was kind enough to provide a step by step walk through for this program, the link to Nero is also in this thread.... http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...highlight=nero

Use DVDSanta Q..How do I burn a dvd and what software do you recommend.... DVDSANTA http://www.dvdsanta.com get it here.... 1.Open the video files to dvd 2.Open add media 3.Now you should have a window to your shared folder, if not browse for it 4.Ok now select your file and open 5.Then select create dvd Thats all there is to it just remember to select either PAL or NTSC depending what your dvd player accepts... This process is converting the file for you and after that you will then have the option to burn to disk, just remember when you are burning your disk, its best to do it at a slower speed for better results.... Also if you have files eg. part1, part2, and even part3 open them one after the other (step 4)....dvdsanta will automatically join all files together in the converting process..... Good luck and enjoy your dvd.... Click on link for a screenshot Demo.....http://www.dvdsanta.com/divx-to-dvd.htm

First of all, your video is not kept 'in limewire.' It is probably in whatever folder you store your downloads in. The default folder is C:\documents and settings\your name\shared If you can see your video listed in Limewire's library, select it and click 'explore' in lower left corner. This will open the folder that contains the file. The location will be displayed in the 'Address' bar (I'm assuming you use Windows). This is the location that you need to browse to when following Wondering Why's advice (step #3). Hope this helps P.S. I hope you don't get too frustrated while trying to make your DVDs...I had to try many video converters, disc brands, etc. until I figured out what I liked. By the way, I would recommend Verbatim or Sony DVD+R discs. DVD+R discs are compatible with more DVD players than DVD-R discs. |
