Try Wondering Why's advice in this thread: Transfering songs to mp3 player

Thanks for getting back to me. I did as you suggested, took me a bit, but I figured it out.
Problem now is that when I right click on the mp3 and click on send to, there is no option of sending to my portable mp3 player (I do have the portable mp3 plugged into the USB).
When I first bought he Sansa-Sandisk mp3, I installed the cd which contained the digital music store free subscription, and the media converter. Since my free subscription ran out, I uninstalled that. Is that my problem I probably dont have that media converter installed anymore?
TIA

Ok... so I have reinstalled the media converter for Sansa-Sandisk. I have tried plugging it into the usb and right clicking as suggested above and still nothing is listed there for a transfer to drive D or E. I went into the media converter program and tried searching and bring it up that way, but to be honest I am not finding the songs listed where they should be (I mean in the docs/settings where they are found when I click on explore in limewire).
Oh I am so confused.. :bangh:
please help!
TIA

Go to start>My Computer, and see if it's listed there(your mp3 player). If it is then double click on it and leave the window open. Then open the folder with your music files in it. Just go to the library page in LW and use the explore button to open the folder. Then drag your songs from one folder to the other and they should be added to your mp3 player.

If all else fails, read the instructions ;).

yeah! that worked. It is a bit time consuming though.
thanks for your help.

One last thing... what was the name of the web site to remane the songs and artists on the mp3 player... something tag?

I don't know what web site you mean but the id3 tag is what your talking about. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ID3

If it aint broke, fix it till it is!

I have the same MP3, and am having the same problem. The drag and drop option has worked before but now it is not working. The audiobooks are downloading fine, I can play it on mydesktop but nothing happens when I drag and drop to Samsa. I thought it might be the Mp3 so I tried it with my hubby MP3 ( different brand) and it still won't load. I have the trial verson of LM.

All help would be very appreciated

ps: I am not even a little bit Tekkie

btash,

Double check to see what the file extension is. Not all audio books are mp3's. You may need to convert the file.
