hi.

this is a strange one-ive been using limewire pro a few years now with relatively few issues. but ive recently moved and now have a new vista pc and have LM Beta on my machine but when i go to download a video(for example [edit]) or any film or ANY VIDEO, all i get is audio on windows media player and a screen showing payplay.fm

I'd say ive downloaded about 10 vids and they are all unwatchable because of this popping up-anyone experieced this at all or am i making zero sense?

It's probably WMP, it's not the best player and it would be something to do with codecs...
Try these codecs Vista Codec Package v4.3.9 (freeware)

If you still run into problems try the VLC palyer it's free and has all the necessary codecs pre-installed, it play's just about everything...;)

thanks for that will give it a goo and see what happens-youre probably right about the codecs cos just when the file loads upon WMP, it says "acquiring codecs" and then that pesky site comes up

*edit* those files are now working on WMP after acquiring the codecs in your link-thanks a lot!
