Unhighlighting by itself Hi-- While trying to highlight multiple files in the download window, the files highlight, unhighlight, highlight, unhighlight, ad infinitum. Inotherwords, I can't highlight 15 or 20 consecutive files. Sometimes I can only highlight 3, other times only 4. Perhaps one of my settings? Thx, spr |
hmm I presume you are using windows? I know on my mac version using the shift key I can select as many as I want to. However, don't change your selection, else that may cause what you see. Select the first, scroll down to the last one you wish to select & select that. All those listed in-between will also be selected. |
unhighlighting Hi- I am using a Mac laptop. If I hold down the shift key and scan using the touchpad, it highlights then stops. If I stop and try to highlight by scanning in the opposite direction, it highlights an un-repeatable number of files (usu 2-3) then discontinues highlighting again. No rhyme, no reason, no pattern, no continuity. Sounds like a bad keyboard? (although this is the only place I've had any issue at all) Thx, spr |
The way I do it is select the first one, then scroll down using the scroll arrow to the last one to be selected & select that. Then all between will be selected. I use the old type mac mouse so I am not sure what effect scrolling down by selecting will do. Different programs behave differently when doing that. So perhaps safest to try as I suggested. BTW I didn't like the new mighty mouse. I took it back to get the old type back ... but mostly because my OS at the time (osx 10.3) didn't properly support it. But the extra button annoyed the heck out of me. Not even exactly the same as windows mouses work. |
