difficulty connecting to limewire

Hi there, I downloaded LW basic months ago and it was awesome, downloads were great, having no trouble. A few weeks ago, I was unable to get into my limewire. When I click on the LW icon, the hourglass appears for a second then disappears and nothing happens. I have tried disabling my windows firewall, and my telus security service firewall. I allow limewire to communicate to the internet. I use to get amessage syaing the LW was communicating with the internet but lately nothing. I contacted telus to see if they could help and nothing. I have downloaded LW basic 4.12.11 three times and I still can't get in. I have windows xp, windows and the telus security firewalls, 80 gb, AdSL, I am on a home wireless connection, the simple test passed. Please help me, I would love to get my lw back again. Thanks

Try the beta version of LW. You should be able to get to it after you click get basic on the download LW screen.

Try deleting your preference folder...
