New to Lime Wire cannot get any downloads
 

I just joined LimeWire and cannot bring up any music, etc.......I turned off my firewall and that did not help. What is the problem? Why can't my search bring up anything, something is wrong and this is very disappointing. This should be easy, what do I need to do?:(:bangh:

Is your LW connected to the network (how many green connection bars do you see)? If you're connected ok, try this: Problems with the search


And if that's no help, delete LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. See point 3 here & also point 2 if you've used much older versions of LW in the past (there could be a folder in either location).
Fixes for LimeWire
This will kill all of your settings within options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things.

Also, try going into your control panel, add/remove programs and uninstall all updates and versions of Java. Then uninstall Limewire. Then reinstall Limewire and let it install Java for you. Also do not update Java at this time until Limewire can fix the problem between these programs.
