Cant view my movies?
 

Well, I cant view/preview the movies i downloaded/downloading.
The music is fine and all

But also, before viewing movies was fine.
It had the ivon of windows media.
And now is a whitebackground with a blue film picture as the icon.


Any ideas why? Do I have to download the old version of windows media?

It sounds like your WMP has been replaced by another player as your computers default player..(does that make sense ;))

To make WMP your default player again
Go to your shared folder (outside of Limewire) you will find this folder by clicking on one of your files in your LW library and clicking explore...

Right click on one of your movie files
Select open with
Select choose program
select WMP
and tick the box that says always use this program to open this file type
Select OK

I cant happen to find the "Choose program"

When you click on Open With there will be a list of your players and at the very bottom there should be the option Choose Program...

then you must need glasses....again, right click on a file, choose 'open with', then 'choose program...'

Nvm.

I did a different thing.
Uninstalled the winsows media player 11 and downloaded windows media 10

Ok um, Im sorry fr the double post.

It happened again.
And I'm doing the "Open with" it works fine.

But I dont wanna open "Explore" all the time.
I just want to double click the file and the video pops up.

I did all of what you both said, It still wouldnt work =[

Only do the explore from your limewire libraray just the once, then close limewire down...

You can then create a shortcut to your shared folder for your desktop...

Then open it > right click on one of your movies > click on open with > you should then see a small window appear with the players you have on your computer and at the very bottom you will see the option to choose a program....

Click on it and select WMP
and tick the box that says always use this program to open this file type
Select OK....

That is then creating WMP as your default player and when you want to preview a movie file when it's downloading WMP will do it for you...

I did all of that.
What I want is to just double click the file on limewire and it'll open there. [But it isnt]

I just want the video link to work on the Limewire.
I double click it and nothing happens

I set WMP already

If you click on a file in your limewire library and then select launch it will play and it will use your computers default player...
