ok im new and im tring to install limewire but everytime i try a norton security window pops up and says 'medium risk limewire.exe is attempting to connect to a dns server' so then i click 'always allow connections from this program' then a 'limewire setup dialog' window pops up and says 'limewire performs best with full access to the internet' if firewall or security warnings appear, please unblock limewire and choose to remember the setting.'

1) Create a new directory/folder and give it a unique name, e.g. Download.

2) Download the off-line version of LW into your new directory/folder.

3) Download the off-line version of Java V1.5 into your new directory/folder.

4) Turn off your internet connection.

5) Uninstall all previous versions of Java that may be on your PC.

6) Install Java V1.5

7) Install LW.

8) Turn on your internet connection.

9) Start LW.

10) Whenever your Norton firewall stops LW or Java from accessing the internet click "Always allow connections from this program".
