House 8. Limewire 4.8.1 Java: the latest I think 9. Comcast( I guess) 10. Your test worked 11. Yes, Linksys links mine and one other computer 12. Experienced 13. no 14. not sure 15. Ok... the first thing that sticks out is AOL Security, it's not a good thing when it comes to Limewire... This link will help you to configure it... How to Use AOL® Firewall But if you decide to, this link will help you get rid of it...;) http://www.gnutellaforums.com/281853-post6.html Your Linskys router has a Nat Firewall which is more than likely blocking you as well... Here are your instructions on Port Forwarding... Port Forwarding for the Linksys BEFW11S4 Also Java may be the problem... Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version.... Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11 That should do for this post...:D...Let me know how you get on... Also why did you want to go back to 4.8.1 ?? |

checked firewall and successfully set up static ip address and java installation.....still no connection.....:bangh: |
