About browsing hosts. Sorry if this has already been asked; I searched the forum but either didn't see it or blew right past it. Now, I know you can't always browse a host. Is that an option that can be set somewhere, to prevent people from allowing them to browse you? And more importantly, if it is an option...LOL where is it? I want to make sure that people CAN browse me just to make it easier for them. (I share a lot of audio books and find it's easier sometimes to latch on to one host with a good connection, especially when they have the whole set.) I've gone through all of the options list and just like above, I'm either not seeing it or blew past it. Thanks in advance! |

Yes, that's what I gathered as well. I just wasn't sure if there was a way to make it easier for people who want my files, or if I was even able to be browsed. I guess as long as the files are showing up in a search (which they must be, because they're getting downloaded), that's all that matters. Sweet. Thanks bunches. |

I mainly enjoy how people get all defensive about it. I can understand his point of view, I'm certainly not exactly pleased when I find out that other people aren't sharing...but only because LOL it makes me wonder what they have that I might want, based on what they're downloading from me. On the other hand, you choose what you want to share and have the option not to share anything at all as well. I used WinMX for the longest time (can't really find anything there anymore) and the programs that went along with it were kind of nice for enforcing that idea. But the option is here, too (though I've read it doesn't work all that well), so hey. LOL Share or don't, just don't complain to me that it's not working the way you think it should. Go design your own P2P then. :P |
