Issues with movie files. Help!
 

So here's the skinny.
When i dl a movie, i go to open it with win media player, and all i get is audio, no video. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm running Vista, with the most updated software, and the files i have dl'd are .avi which should be compatible. so I am out of ideas.

use the search function to look for codecs...I use the Klite pac

Ok, so i dl'd several different codecs pacs and all i get is viruses. any way around this?

Did you use the forum search or did you search for codecs using LimeWire?

Use the forum search (up the top, between New Posts & Quick Links) & type in codecs...you'll find heaps of links to different codec packs.

indeed...NEVER download things that are freely available on the www....and always make sure to download directly from the manufacturer or one if its approved mirrors
