Just installed LimeWire, search doesn't work. I have used Limewire before, but I haven't used any P2P program in a while and I just re-installed limewire. It will connect, but searching never comes up with any files. I am running it on Windows XP, through 3M DSL and a D-Link router. I read somewhere that I need to configure limewire and my router to run through the same port, but I have no idea how. |
Ok, I guess it doesn't connect. I thought it did, but when I mouse over the connectivity indicator on the bottom left of limewire it says I'm connecting to the network. |
Please give us your details. System details - help us to help you -> Provide these details when you post!!! |
I just let it sit there for 10 minutes or so and it did finally connect, search worked, and I can download files. I think I need some help setting up my router though as I'm having connection problems. |
What is the model # on the D-Link and I will try to help. Also if you have a wall in front of the Globe, that might mean you have a firewall issue. Include what firewall you are using. |

I finally got connection problem FIXED with LimewirePro.I was giving connection starting and it stayed there.I have broadband ISP.Also Windows Vista. I have Windows Live Care firewall. I opened my firewall and added Gnutella port 6346.for local and internet. Checked Limewire for its ports, made sure 6346 wasn't their port, I used 14473. All worked before the new version 4.14 was installed. I have turbo connection now. I hope this helps some of you. I set my router for limewire only to that port... |
:xirokrotima: Thanks for the update. Hopefully this will help others as well..:D |
