I have installed LW in its latest version and it is doing insane things. Every time I try to download an mp3 file, it simply refuses to do so. Instead it pops up this windows telling me to download a file called PLAY.exe. This installs a program called "Playmp3". I've opened up this program and it does absolutely nothing. There are no files listed on it to play, and I have no way for it to do so. I have only been able to download wma files. But even when I try to play those. This program Playmp3 forces me to try and use it to play the file, but there's no indication anywhere in the window that will let me play anything. This is insane. What the heck is going on here? There is nothing in FAQ about this. There is nothing in this entire forum about this program (Playmp3). Right now LW is completely useless to me. Will somebody please tell me what this is all about?

Ignore all files below 2,000 MB in size as almost all are spam & viruses, etc. Dump that Playmp3 as it may be spyware or something else to trick you.

I'm sorry, but you don't understand. I can get rid of all of those programs, which I've tried several times.. It has nothing to do with what LW is doing. The LW program itself REFUSES to download anything that is an mp3 file. IT WILL ONLY DO ONE THING! That is direct me to download the Playmp3 program, which does NOTHING. I don't know what Magnetmix is, but it doesn't giev any way that I can see to download the music I am looking for. Your LW program IS CORRUPTED.

and just where did you acquire this version of LW?

It would appear that I have been gypped. I thought I had downloaded LW from the official website. When I went back to check on this, I found the true offical web site. The first one I downloaded gave me a version 4.3.94, AND I paid $35 bucks for it. I didn't realize that the basic version of LW was free. When I found the real official web site, I downloaded the present version of 4.14.10 and it replaced the bogus one and it now works fine. Apparently, somone has taken an older copy of LW and engineered it to automatically require download this "Playmp3" program, and then is charging people for it.
