Default Post-download (files to iPod & question about queued files)

Once you have a song/video/etc. downloaded from Limewire, how do you procede to transfer that information to an iPod or MP3? I have heard for iPods, you are supposed to get the songs into iTunes, but how do you accomplish this? Thanks in advance ^__^

EDIT: Oh and one othe thing, if a download in Limewire is currently in the "Queud" state and i turn off my computer, will it still be up the next time i turn on my computer? Ie., i am downloading a few hundred songs, but obviously cannot finish them all quickly. Oh!, looks like i have to leave for um...a weekend. So i shut down my computer. THEN, when i come back, will they still be sitting there waiting to finsih/have already been finished or will they just be deleted?

This sticky will help you out with your ipod and itunes issue...
How to transfer music to my iPod (& iTunes)

When you go to shut down limewire, just close it off with your files still sitting in the download window...The next time you start limewire up they will resume from where they left off...
