Wink Please help with some LW features!!

Can someone please tell me why, when I click on "tools" at the top of LW and try to click on "options", the screen flickers a couple of times, but the options screen never comes up for me to change some of my settings?

I am new to LW, but have used Frostwire, and don't remember having these issues.

HELP!!

Wink

I have already done so. I uninstalled FW before I ever installed LW. The reason I changed to begin with is FW kept opening on its own and causing my pc to freeze up. I ran my virus scan, and my spyware scan, and nothing was found. So after 3 or 4 days of this, I uninstalled FW and installed LW, and now LW is also opening on its own. So I have lots of issues, more so than just the tools/options feature, as I originally stated.

Anyone have any other solution for all of this? I have read all of the posts about the worms and viruses, but I can't seem to find one if I have one.

Thanks so much for any help!!

Well Pebbles

It does seem that you have a virus or worm, despite what your AV says.

So, I've got a couple of questions for you:-

1) What AV do you have?

2) Have you recently updated your AV with the latest updates?

To be honest, question 2) is the most crucial because non-updated AVs are next to useless.

At this stage, I would suggest that you do an online scan of your PC, if possible, because there is something on your PC that is being missed. There are three free online scanners that I know of (you can "google" for more if you want to):-

Online Anti-Virus Scanners

Trend Micro HouseCall - Free Online Virus and Spyware Scan - Trend Micro USA

Symantec Security Check

Good Luck
