It looks like I'm having the same problem as everyone esle! I tried to disable my firewall, that didn't help. Then limewire decides to work fine yesterday and now it won't even start up! I also upgraded to LimewirePro in the past, but it still didn't work! If anyone knows how to fix this PLEASE HELP ME!

I seem to get this problem every time I try to do a search in Limewire but have to admit and I using the free installed basic version. When I first installed it I didn't have a problem until I switched my computer off then came back to it the next day. The solution was to go into the program files (rather than the the shortcut) this seemed to do some sort of mini install and everything was fine. Until today, I am now getting the same problem and accessing via the program files doesn't resolve it. To be quite frank, I am a little disillusioned with Limewire and unless someone can come up with a solution I think I will use something else.

Smile hi

you have the same things i have on my both desktop and laptop, accept the norton antivirus, have McAfee, same router, windows,so here is a suggestion that might help you,try to see if the status of your inbound and outbound is reading allow, not block on your windows firewall advanced with security,it worked for me,everybody has different opinion and suggestion,so try mine and see if it works ok.
