juts downloaded the basic lw n it cant connect please someone help i have it on my laptop n it works fine. please help!

Dziuna, why don't you look up 'blog.davidkaspar.com/archives' on google and read what he has to say about error id 4226?
It worked for me and i had the same problem connecting.

Easy now, relax it will work.......
Listen on port..goto tools/options/advanced/firewall.
Look at the top right...Listen on Port...if it's not 6346 ..try it instead.
The reason 6346 works is because Gnutella uses that listening port.

Also, if and when you get a signal on the lower left...."connection started" or "fair connection" ...let it go...sometimes it takes awhile but with patience it will resolve itself. After the bars are up at full speed...goto tool/options/advanced/firewall...copy the "listen on port" )top right)number down...it will be one you can use again if you should crash sometime!
Patience is a virtue. It's also worth the investment to go to LW Pro. Watch how fast downloads go and how clean the music sounds!!!! :>)
