IP address listing on search results I'm a newbie, and looked around the forum for a topic that was related to this. I'm wondering when I do a search for something on Limewire, the IP address of the download source computer is listed on the right. Some IP addys come up in red. What's the story behind that? I just wanted to know if that was a red flag about who not to download from or something. |
The 192.168.xx.xx ip number is the address for a private network or possibly a router. The red indicates it is firewalled. Connecting with them is nothing to worry about. You may or maynot be able to download from them though. |
Is my ip address the same as my limewire host id? |
Thanks Remoc. |
