Go to Search. All files/folders. Type in Limewire. Delete everything that it finds. Now you can start with a fresh download, but before that check your version of Java. Here is some advise on that. First of all, remove any other Java versions installed (via Add/Remove Programs). Now download the JRE Offline installer from here. Java SE Downloads After Java's installed, install LW. When you click to download the LW installer, cancel the dialog box which pops up...now use the option to download the offline installer. Lime Wire » Download LimeWire. Hope this Helps |

**PLEASE HELP** Trouble Downloading & Installing I am having trouble downloading the new Limewire version to my computer. Im using windows 98, and I've tried numerous options posted on these forums, but have had no luck so far... I have tried deleting all Limewire folders and files and starting over as well as deleting and downloading new java files, but none of this has helped. When I download Limewire everything goes well until the last step when I hit "Open" and a few moments later a screen pops up that says "NSIS Error... Error writing temporary file. Make sure your temp folder is valid" Please help me before I go insane!!! |
