Downlaoding limewire songs to ipod

Im having trouble downloading my song from lime wire to my ipod. It goes into my library and stuff which is good. But im having trouble syncing it. On my i-pod all it shows is" do not disconnect" i know they may be going into my i-pod, but its been like this for like 30 min for only 9 songs. Please someone help me
