Java problems

Hello to all.I was given a Compaq and I have tried to download Limewire but it says I need Java.It directs me to the site but will not install.Any ideas?:confused:

What happens when you try to install Java? Are you getting an error message?

Make sure that you download the JRE offline installer...there's more chance of a corrupted installation if installing online. The offline installer is the larger of the Windows installers (see attachment)

If you still have probs with the offline installer, try using a different browser.
