Default Sharing 1700 files..Please help.

Ok I just upgraded to Limewire Pro. My computer tech guy(friend) suggested I move my music files somewhere else. My computer has been running slow and he said it was the music taking up a lot of space. Is there way I can stop the sharing(should I even do that). Can I do like I did with Itunes and move all my music to the 'D' drive then dletes the music folder.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Yes you can move your files elsewhere. I put mine on a 250GB ext. HDD. Not sure why you would stop sharing though??

Thanks Remoc for the reply. Why do I need to file share? What is that exactly. When I down load music fom Limewire where is it stored. I don't want it to be stored on my 'C' drive.

Thanks.

Your files are stored on the HDD which is usually the C: Drive. If you don't want them on your C: Drive, then you will have to direct your downloads to another Drive. As I said Earlier, my Saved files are directed to L:\ Shared which goes on an External HDD.

The Reason we share is to keep P2P alive. If no one shared then where do you think you would get the files that you download?? These files are coming from other Peers that are sharing there files.

I think I may buy an external HD. Is this a good idea?

Having an external HDD is almost a necessity IMO. I try to keep as much off of the C:\ Drive as possible. If and when you get an EXT HDD Post Back and I'll be glade to help.
Ext. HDD are very cheap these days so don't skimp on size. Now I wished I would have gone with more, but you can always add when needed.
