Overnight and for no discernible reason, my computer changed all my files that were downloaded on VLC media player, to Windows media player. In the library the icon has changed, meaning I have to now go a round about way to play my files! What has happened and help!!!

Try resetting VLC as the default player.

While in Limewire go to Library. Now click Explore, in lower left corner. This will take you to your saved/shared folder outside of Limewire. Now Right click any file. Highlight Open With. Now go to choose VLC and click Always use Program to open.... and click OK.

WMP will always struggle to be the default player. You might have had a MS update or something like that, that may have caused the change. Just a guess.
