Transfering songs to my MP3 I am a novice Limewire User. I've downloaded lots of songs, but don't remember the steps necessary to transfer those songs to my Mp3 player. (I'm 52 years old and not very tech savvy.) Can anyone tell me how to do this? I have a Windows XP system, use broadband from AT&T, and have LimewirePro. |

Plug your player into your computer, go to My Computer & you'll see the player showing up as another drive. You need to know where your LW saved folder is. In LW tools > options > saving will show you the location. If you go to LW's library, highlight a file & click Explore...your saved folder will open. This is where you should add to your player from. Now try dragging songs from your saved folder into your player (whatever drive it shows up as in My Computer). Or check the player's manual for more instructions about how to add files to the player Or try WW's advice here. transfering my download to my mp3 player |

Thanks a lot limewire. I took your advice and uploaded the new version and now my limewire library has disappeared. In the past you have never changed where you placed the files for seaching. So after I uploaded the latest version I could not locate any tracks of the new tracks that I had downloaded, unless I did it manually. I tried To follow some advice from other users but now it seems that everything has gone from the limewire library. Why have you Changed things and yet NOT explained what you have done and how to put things right? I am not a techy so I cannot find the new folder C:\Documentsandsettings\ray\shared. I have to manually go thru each individual track |

limewire Hi Lindsay I managed to solve the problem ...it was quite easy actually. The problem was them not highlighting that they were sending the music to a different folder after downloading the latest version of Limewire. Go to tools>options.when the window pops up that asks you which folder you want the music file to be sent to go to my documents/my music and click that. That is where all your music will automatically be sent to after downloading from limewire. secondly you no longer have to up load the music from MY MUSIC to windows media player, It does it automatically for you |
