Can't find my download on my computer

Can't find my download on my computer

I downloaded ******, all 396MB. The progress bar said "100% complete. Now I cannot find the program on my hard disk. I "searched" but can only find ancillary files and instructions - no program icon. Where did it go, and what did I download? Thanks for any help.
