-checked stickies and FAQ's but still no solution to my upgrade problems on PC, Vista:

-After clicking the "upgrade now to 4.18" in limewire 4.16.6, a few pages later I get the page saying my Trend security blocks the download

- I add the limewire download url to the "approved" list in Trend, but when I try to upgrade again, I get the same problem as above, even though I make sure the correct url is on the list

-I try cnet.com to download. I click "download", it tells me "thanks," then nothing happens. I dont see download on desktop or anywhere else on my computer.

-Thus, still no upgrade, and limewire 4.16.6 will not connect to network. Once in a few days it will connect behind firewall, but usually will not connect...Please Help. Thanks!

hi, after some more searching i found a link for the full download in another forum here. i still have red bars though and trying to figure that one out.

Hello....I have recently had the same problems....I have tried everything to fix the connection problems, and now have ran out of options.....If anyone can help please do and fast I NEED MUSIC!!!! LOL....

I had LimeWire .2 and could not get a connection. I just want up to .3 and still cannot connect. Yes, connect and file has been activated. I never used to have problems with LimeWire and now I can't connect. drpag

I'm sorta having the same problems but it's weird. I've got Windows on my computer and when you sign in there's mine,which is the administrator, and my boyfriends. When we downloaded version4.18.3 his started messing up but everything on my side downloads. i've tried uninstallingit from the whole computer and reinstalling it and we have the same problem. My side is up and running and can connnect but when we log onto his side of the computer it only has the first bar and won't go up. we've connected and disconnected a couple times and still nothing. There is no firewall blocking it but it has the symbol saying it does but then again that's been like that since we've started using LW. Once or twice when this first started happening I would get on internet explorer to sign in here and then check his limewire and it would be connected but it doesn't always work and I don't know how to fix it. I will try looking at other posts but i'm not that computer literate and I don't know what this problem would be under. Thanks for any help and i'm sorry if this post is a little confusing.

One more thing, like I said if I were to log onto my side I CAN connect and i'm the administrator side so I don't know why his won't connect. Also, I waited about 15minutes before I posted on here and by the time I typed my problems it went up to the full bars. As I said I might need the lamen's terms on how to check and see what and why his won't work but mine will and it's on the same computer. Even if you could give me a link to another post or even what to look under. I looked at the Connection problems that someone had refered to on another post and it's like reading another language and I'm not sure how to disable certain things. Thanks in advance and sorry if someone has already posted this. You guys are a major help and I'd be lost without these forums

Hey guys, lots of us are having the same problem with the Limewire sight which never used to present any problems before. Anybody know of another website that funtions like that and provides tunes at no charge. Id be willing to swithch at this point.
