![]() I've tried installing Limewire on a new computer but everytime I press the install button on the installer an error message pops up and tells me that an older version of Limewire is running. I'm suppose to exit that version and try again. This is a brand new computer, I definately do not have an older version of Limewire on here so what's the problem and how do I fix it? |

![]() Check options here Fixes for Limewire (click on blue link) including deleting your LW prefs folder. ![]() |

is there anything else i can do to fix it??? |

![]() 1. Go to Start menu > Programs > LimeWire > Uninstall. 2. Run this utility: Crap Cleaner (which will clean the registry) 3. Install using the OFFLINE version of LW: http://www9.limewire.com/download/LimeWireWin-full.exe * BTW if you are using VISTA, then you will need to set the installer to Administrator. ![]() |
