Now if your share ratio drops below a certain %, then your downloads will lose speed until your uploads catch up to an acceptable level. The greater the difference between Download v's uploads where D's is the greater, then the slower downloads will get. From memory it's roughly below 0.7 or so ratio where the speed difference happens.

Likewise my ratio is above 2.

Default Crashing and burning

I downloaded Azereus and it crashed my computer - at least I believe that was the cause. I lost a file needed to boot up and I also about 50 very important work files. I had to take it to a pro to get it repaired.

When I got it back I downloaded Phix. I am kind of lost using it. It doesn't really indicate what you are downloading. Everything I am seeing in the searches is coming from LW anyway. There are no options for music or video or artist. What am I missing ???????

Go to the Phex wiki. It has the best answers, else ask in the Phex section. If it's really rare files you are searching then it would most likely be coming from non LW users. A starting point: New Phex Users - Gnutella Forums & check the Stickies in red at top of the threads list.

I've not heard of anyone having that kind of trouble unless they got scammed by others using the same name; often seen in sponsored links for non-Pro versions. Happens often with LW. From where did you get Azureus?

For Phex (Phix?):
