getting it to play

I could play my music alright, but lately I have downloaded music, but it will not play.
I have now downloaded the latest version of L/W but it still will not play the song.
I think it is posssibly alll in a right mess, all the downloads are in red ? some shared others not, I really must spend more time on this, but in the mean time can anyone help ?
This is Vista and its all going into documents/folders ? which I am told is all wrong, but it did work.
Someone said ''run as administrater'', done that, no change.

You are Correct as far as the Location. You DO NOT want your files in "Program Files" Folder.


The new saved folder locations:
4.15.0 Beta - 4.16.0 C:\Documents and Settings\username\LimeWire Saved
4.16.1 onwards C:\Documents & Settings\username\My Documents\LimeWire\Saved

The new shared folder locations:
4.15.0 Beta - 4.16.0 C:\Documents and Settings\username\LimeWire Shared
4.16.1 onwards C:\Documents & Settings\username\My Documents\LimeWire\Shared

Any File that is Red means that it is Not Being Shared. To Share these Files, Right Click on the File and Choose "Share File".

If you are using the LW Media Player, Try an Alternitive. The LW Player is Not a very good player.
VLC Media Player is Highly recommended here on the Forums, but there are several other choices here.

You may also be experiancing Fake or Corrupt Files. Use the Forum Search Function to Learn more about the Nasties on the Gnutella Network.
